AdventHealth Comprehensive Women's Education: Women's Behavioral Health

Wednesday, June 17, 2026 (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (CDT)

Description

Join AdventHealth for a compassionate, educational class designed to help women and their families better understand perinatal mental health during pregnancy and the first postpartum year. Pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum can be beautiful moments in time — but they can also bring unexpected emotional challenges. Many pregnant and postpartum women experience anxiety, sadness, overwhelm, or intrusive thoughts which can be scary. Finding support and learning to recognize these common challenges can make such a meaningful difference.

In this class, you will learn:

  • What Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are and why these emotional changes during pregnancy and postpartum are common.
  • Signs and symptoms of PMADs.
  • Practical tools and coping strategies you can use to help yourself or a loved one throughout pregnancy and the first year postpartum.
  • When to seek help and how to find support for yourself or someone you love

This class is open to all pregnant women, postpartum mothers, significant others, and family members. Advent Health is here to be part of your village. Because no one should have to navigate this season alone. Instructed by: Abby Pollard, LSCSW, PMH-C
