Join us for the opening of the museum’s fall exhibitions and for artists’ talks with Emilio Villalba, Gabriel Mills, and Joel Daniel Phillips. The artist talk will occur online and in person at the Hudson auditorium. A reception will follow the lecture.

• Villalba (b. 1984) received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco in 2012 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from the Art Institute of California, Santa Ana in 2006. 
• Mills (b. 1992) received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking from the Yale School of Art, New Haven, CT, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and Art History from the University of Hartford, Hartford, CT. 
• Phillips (b. 1989) studied at New York Center for Art and Media Studies in 2009 and received his BFA from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA in 2011.

The Actions for the Earth: Art, Care, & Ecology, Emilio Villalba: Everything is Something, and Gabriel Mills exhibitions will be on view in the Nerman Museum August 9 through December 8, 2024. The Permanent Collection exhibition will be on view August 9 through October 13, 2024.
