Asset Acquisitions, Inc., a growing real estate investment firm and is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a full-time, in-office position offering a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute meaningfully in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with reporting and reconciliation tasks. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in corporate accounting principles, experience working with property management operations, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

Process accounts payable

Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Generate and analyze internal financial reports

Work closely with the property management team to reconcile rent collections, vendor invoices, and property-level financials

Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual audits

Help identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience (preferably in residential property management)

Familiarity with property management platforms 

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
