"Healing Towards Wellness (HTWkc) has a primary mission: to provide affordable and accessible mental health care to individuals who might otherwise be unable to receive support without a deep sliding scale or insurance coverage. HTWkc chose to operate in Overland Park because its Founder, Emily, has deep roots in South Johnson County, where she grew up. Her decision was further driven by the alarming statistics related to mental health crises and suicide rates in the very community that shaped her."
