Micro-Internships: Right Time, Right Now, Learn How

Tuesday, May 25, 2021 (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Are you interested in learning more about Micro-Internships and how you can leverage them to support your efforts?

Join us for a virtual micro-internship panel discussion for employers looking to engage in project-based internships for small to large employers and how these internships might be funded through the Department of Commerce with assistance by the Kansas Board of Regents and the DeBruce Foundation. The internships will only be given to employers who have a presence in Kansas. The goals of the webinar will be to:

  • Provide information and the requirements to access the micro-internship program.
  • How a project might be developed.
  • How to work with your higher education partner.
  • How this could impact an employer and student experience.

This webinar will provide information on a new micro-internship program that was recently created by the DeBruce Foundation, Kansas Board of Regents and Kansas Department of Commerce. The Micro-Internship Program provides resources and guidelines for employers and students, and addresses several of the obstacles in arranging and sponsoring a quality internship.

Registration is required to attend; however, this program is open to chamber members and nonmembers.
