Join us on Thursday, May 6 at noon for our next Economic Development Council event which will provide an update on the proposals to expand U.S. 69 in Overland Park. This expansion project is the critical infrastructure project in Overland Park and has been a priority for the OP Chamber and the EDC for years. Lindsey Douglas, Deputy Secretary of the Kansas Department of Transportation and Cameron McGown, Vice President at HNTB will be our guests and they will deliver updated information on the different plans to expand U.S. 69, how each plan differs in cost, lane speeds, and timeline, and provide explanation as to how a new traffic mechanism would work and provide options for drivers on U.S. 69.
