Let's Get Trivial For Harvesters

Let's Get Trivial For Harvesters

Wednesday, July 8, 2020 (7:00 PM - 8:45 PM) (CDT)

Description

1. FORM A TEAM
Get your family and friends on board to compete! Form a team however you’d like - that can be with the people in your own home, or via FaceTime or a phone call or whatever works best for you to communicate with people in other homes.

2. REGISTER YOUR TEAM
Once you have your team set, the team captain needs to fill out the form at https://www.harvesters.org/Let-s-Get-Trivial to register the team. There is a limit of 100 participants, so teams will be set up first come, first served. We'll be in contact with you and send you the Zoom login information for you to disperse to all of your team members.

3. GET TRIVIAL ON JULY 8 AT 7 P.M.
Each person playing can be on the Zoom meeting. Please try to get everyone in to the Zoom meeting by 6:50 p.m., so we have time to work out any technical difficulties before the game starts at 7 p.m. Everyone will be automatically muted and unable to un-mute themselves, but the chat feature will be available to use.

4. TEAM CAPTAIN SETS UP EMAIL
Before we begin the game, the team captain will email LetsGetTrivial@gmail.com a new email (separate from any other emails you have sent to LetsGetTrivial@gmail.com) with your team name as the subject line. This is how you will turn in your answers for each round. Your team captain will reply to that same email thread for the entire game in order to keep all your answers in one place.

5. USE YOUR NOGGIN
NO looking up answers on the internet or in any reference books you may have at your house. This is strictly what you’ve got in your noggin.

There are six regular rounds per game with two bonus rounds and a final question. Each of the six regular rounds consists of four questions. Once you have answered the four questions, you will go back and assign a point value to the right of each answer. For the first two rounds, the point values are 1, 2, 3 and 4. This will increase as the game progresses. You use each point value once, so you will assign 4 points to the answer you are most sure of, 3 points to the answer you are next most sure of, on down the line.

Here’s an example of what that looks like:

1. Answer to question 1 PV (Point Value) = 1
2. Answer to question 2 PV = 3
3. Answer to question 3 PV = 4
4. Answer to question 4 PV = 2
