Patient Care Representative

First point of contact to our external customers, providing excellent service to patients receiving diagnostic imaging services at our facility.

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours

Shift: M-F 9:30 AM-6:00 PM


Position Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required

Proficient typing and PC skills

Skills and Abilities

Excellent telephone skills

Good judgment and resolution skills

Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other employees

Ability to adapt to changes

Position Responsibilities

Greet patients, vendors and other visitors to our office, ensuring all visitors are greeted with a smile

Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary

Answer multi-line phone in a timely manner

Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address

Conduct patient interviews to ensure all required paperwork is complete and accurate

Verify that insurance information is complete

Utilize MedInformatix software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients

Register new patients and update necessary records

Interact with referral sources to provide information regarding patient care

Process patient payments in office

Follows established company policies in regard to attendance, appearance and service

Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient information in accordance to company policy

Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, and welcoming

Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner



PHYSICAL RESOURCES: The position requires prolonged sitting and the ability to effectively communicate. Visual acuity needed to read and examine patient records.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:  Indoor, climate-controlled environment.

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:  Personal computer, printer, multi-line phone, fax machine and copier.
