The Overland Park Chamber of Commerce seeks a Member Services Coordinator to support membership activities including event coordination, recruitment/retention, service to members and guests and maintenance of membership database. Other duties include, but not limited to, providing administrative support to staff, responding to member requests, managing front of house functions, including conference room rentals and light website maintenance.


Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests
  • Assist Director of Events & Member Services with event planning and execution, event registrations, Leadership Overland Park and other programs and services
  • Assist Membership Director with processing of new memberships and member-related correspondence
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the membership database 
  • Provide project management and administrative support for the staff team
  • Manage conference room rentals for Chamber building
  • Provide website and social media support to the communications and marketing team


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or demonstrated experience in related association or customer-service activities 
  • High level of attention to detail, ability to multi-task and to acquire new skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with a wide variety of constituencies
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and in team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, standard office equipment (phone systems, digital copier), social media and basic website management
  • Experience with database management software (CRM) preferred
  • Working knowledge of Overland Park and Johnson County a plus
