The successful candidate will work collaboratively across all divisions to execute successful fundraising strategies. Responsible for leading the Parks and Recreation Foundation of Johnson County through the implementation of a strategic plan for fundraising, marketing, and organizational development plan that actively engages the Board in this work. Manage and maintain collaborative and coordinated relationships between the foundations, friends' subgroups, advisory groups and the JCPRD Board. Develop strategies to leverage these Board leadership and staff to identify individual donors, grants, foundations, charitable events, marketing opportunities, and corporate investors. Develop and implement a plan containing strategy to successfully build a large donor base and ensure effective fundraising. Build relationships with strategic partners and external stakeholders in the community to leverage resources for JCPRD, often requiring presentations and appearances at public events. Work closely with the JCPRD senior leadership team, advising this group regarding policy and strategic decisions as related to fundraising.
Days: M-F, Hours: 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m., with some evenings and weekends required.

Required - Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Communications, Public Relations, Public Administration, or related field.
Preferred - Master's degree in Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, or related field.
Required - Four years of progressive fund raising experience.
Required - Two years of budget management experience. Preferred – Proven experience with a targeted fundraising campaign.
Required Skills: Attention to detail; ability to interpret data, ability to analyze information; budget-related skills, including advanced accounting, math, and statistics skills; oral communication skills, including presentations to individuals, and small and large groups; facilitation skills, including ability to use group decision making to gain commitment, and/or ability to encourage participation. Website creation and content management and donor database management skills preferred.
Must be able to pass criminal history and driving background checks.
